Martin Dolan's Sculptures & Art showing LIVE at SJS Gallery

I am very excited to say that I have several of my art works in an exhibit and I would LOVE you to come to the opening night.

It's my first showing, and I will be very excited to see you there..

There will also be many more artists displaying their 2D and 3D art works, sculpture and some VERY cool jewellery.

The opening night is this Thursday 3rd March from 6 - 8 pm  - and I would love to see you there and share a glass of wine (or two) with you.

It will be lots of fun.

Feel free to bring along anyone you can think of - but only those who would appreciate cool fascinating art that makes you smile, think, gasp and giggle.

Spread the Sci-Fi Christmas cheer with a Robot Reindeer!

Hidden away in the alleys of my hometown Melbourne, Australia, lurks a cute little Robot Reindeer.

He spreads love of Sci-Fi and Art with his magical bubble machine.

I hope everyone has had a great year, and wish you the best of health over the holiday season.

For me 2010 has been a very challenging year health and subsequently career wise.  I am looking forward to 2011, and starting a two year Advanced Diploma of Engineering & Jewellery at NMIT.  

There will be lots of Sci-Fi themed jewellery coming out of my newly developing skills...

You have been warned! haha.

Sci-fi SmackDown Season - Cowboys & Aliens vs Battle: Los  Angeles

The new trailer for Cowboys & Aliens is out, hot on the heals of the Battle: LA trailer from a few weeks back.

2011 seems like it will be a good time to be a science fiction fan, as there could be some great movies coming out.

First a disclaimer - I have NOT seen either of these two movies yet, and i KNOW if there is one thing Hollywood can do, is make a fantastic trailer for a movie. Following through and coming up with the goods, not so much.

That said, I have a good feeling about these two...

Doctor Who Dalek Halloween Pumpkin

I am sure this Dalek Halloween Pumpkin will exterminate! all annoying trick-or-treaters, or any other thing that goes bump in the night this Halloween.

The amazing Pumpkin was carved out by Julian from Pennsylvania, who spent over 7 hours making this sci-fi artwork.

The real Doctor Who - Time traveller spotted in Sassafras

There is none more fitting place to meet a time traveller than in the picturesque township Sassafras.

Sassafras itself has stepped back in time with quaint cottages and cafes dotted along the Mt Dandenong Tourist Rd in Victoria, Australia.

At a cafe called Ripe, in front of an open fire, the adventure begins...

Adidas Star Wars Cantina ad - Lightsaber Cut Above the Rest

Adidas have re-edited the classic Star Wars cantina scene to now feature a few new players - David Beckham, Daft Punk, Snoop Dogg, Oasis' Noel Gallagher and friends as they gather for the FIFA World Cup.

This is part of the Adidas Originals series of commercials, and honestly, it brings something to Star Wars that George Lucas' obsessive compulsive enhancing and re-releasing has not.

You will not hear a Daft Punk version of that catchy cantina tune, however as Snoop Dogg says, "step up" and check it out....
