Sci-Fi Genetic Art: Where did everyone go?

I discovered an alien craft derelict, adrift in space.
Initial scans revealed no signs of complex life structures, essentially just an overall 'glow' of the basic building blocks of life. It would have been quite a normal reading for a planet that was just waiting for life to begin, like the Earth millions of years ago... Waiting for a lightning strike to kick start a wondrous chain reaction in a pool of liquid.

However, it was a very strange reading for a craft of any description.

Inside the craft there were several vast chambers lined from floor to ceiling by thousands upon thousands of apparatus. Barren, forgotten.
Each apparatus formed a small cubicle, a tangle of pipes, dripping liquid and dull metal. They were all identical, replicated over and over forming a pattern like those 'Magic 3D' art pictures that were so popular toward the end of the 1990's.
I stared in wonder, curious to see if some strange alien vista would form in front of my eyes in 3D.

The spell was broken by the scanner as it hummed and hiccupped. It revealed that not all the cubicles were identical after all. One was unique in a very special way.

As I turned around and slowly looked up, I saw it - A 'Clone Alone'

Art work constructed from found objects, plastic pipe, wood, welding rod and wire mesh and features various lighting effects. Originally envisaged art to be mounted into a wall, I constructed it so that it also looks good as art free-hanging on a wall. Requires 240v AC for lighting effects.

I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.

Pressure: Sci-Fi Industrial Chemical Tank Sculpture

View: Pressure: Sci-Fi Industrial Chemical Tank SculptureSteel Sculpture features a mix of Sci-Fi industrial theme with a dash of steampunk.

An abandoned chemical facility may hold a dark secret.
All but one of a series of tanks have been drained. What is in this remaining mysterious reservoir?

The pressure builds causing the thick steel tank to buckle and swell.
As a gauge moves into the ominously red marked danger zone, a foreboding glow emanates through the porthole window.

What will be released if the tank ruptures?
