Look to the stars

Constructed for a commission, the brief was 'TELSTRA provides the tools for farmers'.
Telstra is the main Australian phone network provider.

This Sci-fi looking Satellite dish was fun to make and can be seen here on the rooftop of my apartment where I used to live.  When plugged into my home computer network I could actually chat with aliens from the other side of the universe and swap photos of our art and sculptures.

Honest!

The sculptures were photographed and used in print advertisements, brochures and point of sale displays in rural areas of Australia.

You can view the posters and brochures for the commission artwork project here

 Art work made from found objects. Plow disk, cogs, timing chain from steam engine, metal pipe, springs, pipe threader.
Height = 80 cm (31.5 Inches)
Width = 50 cm (20 Inches)
