Drawings

A lot of Sci-Fi drawings, with a few artworks that are not science fiction inspired...

Welcome to my gallery with some of my 2 dimensional sculptures.
I like a bit of a scribble now and then!

warning signs alien grand canyon skull ink drawing, Sci-fi art sculpture
'Warning Signs'
Someone trying to tell me something?    Perhaps this is not the right way to go...
Alien skulls show damage that hints at a sudden end.

Drawn while on holiday in America, with the Grand Canyon in the background.

July, 2003 Felt marker on paper

alone dog schnauzer boat pencil drawing, Sci-fi art sculpture glass bottom boat dog schnauzer pencil drawing, Sci-fi art sculpture underwater fish octopus seahorse pencil drawing, Sci-fi art sculpture

'Alone', 'Glass Bottom Boat' and 'Underwater'
Drawn while exploring parts of America mid 2003. They are some ideas I threw down for illustrations in a children's book.

between flights sleeping pencil drawing, Sci-fi art sculpture
'Between Flights'
I drew this while waiting for a connecting flight in San Francisco.
Don't you hate it when someone wakes up half way through a drawing, gives you a dirty look, moves around and then goes back to sleep in a different position?

June - July, 2003 Pencil on paper

holiday aliens great keppel island ink drawing, Sci-fi art sculpture
'Holiday'
  Even aliens have holiday snaps...

Drawn while on holiday in Great Keppel Island, Australia.

May, 2002 Felt marker on paper

forgotten robot mech war damaged ink drawing, Sci-fi art sculpture
'Forgotten'

A forgotten robot mech damaged from a long past war.
Science fiction (and science fact) is leading us toward the melding of man and machine.
Drawn partly while on holiday in Great Keppel Island, Australia, and started while on my previous holiday to New Zealand.

May, 2002 Felt marker on paper

landed alien space ship uluru ayers rock ink drawing, Sci-fi art sculpture
'Landed'
Drawn while on holiday in central Australia.  Uluru (Ayers Rock) features in the background with a alien spaceship landed in the sun.

July, 2001 Felt marker on paper

crossing aliens squashed uluru ayers rock ink pencil drawing, Sci-fi art sculpture
'The Crossing'
Little blue and yellow alien creatures.

Drawn while on holiday in central Australia. Inspired by the deserts and trying not to stand on the little ants and other wildlife as I walked around Uluru (Ayers Rock).

July, 2001 Felt marker and pencil on paper

sky tower alien floating rock city new zealand ink drawing, Sci-fi art sculpture
'Sky Tower'
Drawn while on holiday in New Zealand. The alien floating rock city features the Sky Tower, the tallest building in the southern hemisphere. Also inspired by the 'Rock-n-Ropes' assault corse I completed 30 meters above the ground. Stand on a narrow wooden pole and then jump off to catch a trapeze nearly out of reach - that will inspire anyone!

January, 2001 Felt marker on paper

space ship alien bali planet orbit ink drawing, Sci-fi art sculpture
'Space'
Drawn while on holiday in Bali. Alien space ship in orbit above a planet.
Inspiration for the space ships wings came from the many traditional Balinese wood carvings.

The whole drawing consists of little dots.  Yes I went slightly mad while drawing this....  dot. dot. dot. dot...

December, 1996 Felt marker on paper

scream edvard munch pizza box pencil drawing, Sci-fi art sculpture
'Scream'
Stuck in a 2 bedroom holiday house with 7 friends in Philip Island... It is pouring rain outside, and everything is turning to hell...
Also inspired by Edvard Munch 'The Scream'

July, 1994 Pencil on the back of a pizza box

andy android robot cyborg damaged digital painting, Sci-fi art sculpture tech manga digital painting, Sci-fi art sculpture
'Andy' and 'Tech'
A damaged android / robot / cyborg ('Andy') and a maga style portrait ('Tech').
Now I am finally getting the hang of the digital painting and drawing programs, and a new model Amiga...

1993, Amiga 4000 and Deluxe Paint - Digital pictures

'Beginnings'
My first ever digital art and drawings on a computer.
Back in 1987 it was the glory days of the Commodore Amiga.
Now that was a quality computer, with real pre-emptive multitasking.
Microsoft and Apple are just getting it right 10 years later...

1987, Amiga 1000 and Deluxe Paint - Digital pictures

Hi Ange,
Glad you like my art. Wink
Tell Charlotte that the Kookaburra's say hello.. Well, they laughed, which is the same thing for them.

Warmly,
Marty

Thank you for your feedback, I realise that the cloud looks bad on older browsers like IE6 etc, however we don't support them anymore. This sci-fi art website looks better on an up to date browser, and if I downgrade it for older technology, then others who keep up to date miss out!
I hope you understand. Uber Geek

Going down? Sounds like you're a scuba enthusiast too, like me.

Luv to pop the Underworld pic - it's soooo sweet and fresh - into my hotmail photo gallery. You must be a real honey to have such a soft sensitive side to you, as well as the badass sci-fi geek streak. Wink
