District 9: Sci-fi movie trailer for extraterrestrial Refugee camp D-9 and Alive in Joburg

Sci-Fi movie set in a fictional world, where aliens have become refugees confined to District 9, a refugee camp in South Africa.

The extraterrestrial race have been forced to live in a slum-like environment on Earth for the years since their arrival. Suddenly they find a kindred spirit in Wikus (Sharlto Copley) a government agent that after being exposed to their biotechnology flees into District 9.

District 9 is based on Alive in Joburg, (which you can watch for free below the District 9 trailer)- it's a short film produced by Neill Blomkamp.

There are several versions of the District 9 trailer on the net, and I have the new unblurred District 9 trailer with alien subtitles.

I have high expectations for District 9, which is written and directed by Neill Blomkamp and produced by Peter Jackson. I have been a huge fan of Peter Jackson since he did Bad Taste (1987) and Meet The Feebles (1989) - Firkin hilarious - Watch them both!

The aliens in this film are referred to as "Non-Humans" by Multi-National United (MNU) a company who is benefiting from their technology and also controlling them.

District 9 or D-9 looks to be much more than your average science fiction movie, with an underlying message.

Looks like a thinking persons movie, not a Transformers Revenge of the Fallen - Michael Bay abomination... Nice!

Thank-you for the informtion and movie trailer for the sci-fi flicks district-9 and alive in joburg ! I never knew they existed.The aliens look fantastic, lots of emotionin their eyes!
