'Pressure'- Metal Sculpture Part #1 |
New Artwork - metal sculpture entitled 'Pressure' gets underway. It has been a while since I have posted a workbench update, so here are some 'action shots' of crafting my latest work of art. "Pressure" - Artwork will be a wall hanging metal sculpture, which would look at home in a luxurious apartment or boardroom.Only in the last three weeks have I started putting it together... I have to say I love getting the arc welder out. The local Kookaburra came down to watch - probably waiting for me to scare out a lizard or two that it can feed to its baby that is chattering away in their nest in the front yard. Even Ruby my Schnauzer came to see what all the noise was about. Metal, sparks, noise, the acrid smell of my overalls about to catch fire... Mwahahaha!
Bloody hot work wearing all that safety gear on a 40 degree (centigrade) day. Need to go searching for some more materials for the next stage - Any one know which suburbs are having a hard rubbish collection day around my area next? Well, that's it for now, stay tuned for the next instalment...
Update:You can see part two of the sculptures creation here: 'Pressure'- Metal Sculpture Part #2 You can see the finished artwork of the sculpture in the art gallery here: 'Pressure'- Metal Sculpture - Finished artwork |

Or did the Battlestar Galactica Cylon manage to purchase sheet metal with the torso of a naked woman in profile on it?
(Sorry, I have a vivid imagination and, well just look for yourself...)
I agree with Zac - it'll be interesting to see how this turns out once the Cylon finds appropriate hard rubbish treasures and embellishments to dress his Pressure woman up...
...BTW: It's no wonder the images look like they do - wearing all that safety gear on a 40 degree (centigrade) day and using an arc welder, even the sanest and most conservative of life forms would have delusions of nakedness and stripping off. lol
Keep up the super work!
Those markings are just a heat patten where it was cut and coincidence on how I put the sheets together...
Next we will be seeing crop circles and UFOs!
